A massive step down

We go from some of the best horses in the world in Hong Kong to some very ordinary conveyances at Caulfield, but there may be some hidden gems in terms of wagering propositions to while away our Wednesday afternoon.
Race 1 is a very interesting 1100 metre two year old event. It has only five runners but the big stables of Hayes and Freedman have four of the five and should have this race covered.
I am going to have something on the only one with race experience. Pink Siris, an Encosta de Lago filly owned by the Coolmore Stud and trained by Lee Freedman, ran a very good fourth in a 900m scamper at Bendigo on November 29, she was a little slow to jump but her last 200m was very good. The step up to 1100 metres will suit and she should be hard to beat.
Back Pink Siris.
In this type of meeting, it is best to look for something on the way through it's classes. Race three sees Redondo Beach engaged. He won very well at Ballarat for Punters Daily followers at the juicy odds of $11. There will be none of that price flying around the betting ring at Caulfield but punters should be able to get on at about the 2.50 to 2.70 mark. He meets Cruyfforme a half kilo better for beating him by 2 lengths at Ballarat. The main danger is Red Riviera who comes off stumbling into third in the Ballarat Cup behind Sentire but if Redondo Beach is going to progress to open class he needs to be being horses such as these, and I think he can tomorrow. Back Redondo Beach.
Race 6 sees Murray Mary entered, her win at Wodonga was very impressive indeed. She sat three wide for the trip of 1200m, she only won by a short half head but it was a very good effort. She is bred to be a stayer being by Black Minnaloushe out of The Lions Roar, who was a stayer trained by Mike Moroney. The step up in distance to 1440 metres will certainly suit here as will the good draw, she can race handy and be very hard to beat.
Good Punting
